Pastor Cassandra Lamb

Pastor Cassandra Lamb began her call as campus pastor at ULC on January 1, 2021. She grew up in rural South Dakota, attended Concordia College, and spent her college summers working at Lutherans Outdoors in SD. Her Master of Divinity degree is from Lutheran Theological Seminary in Gettysburg, PA (now United Lutheran Seminary). She was ordained in 2012 and has served in Rapid City, SD and Warner, SD prior to coming to ULC. Pastor Cassandra shares her life with her daughter, Mirjam.

Student Leaders

Our student leaders are the hands and feet that drive the ministry of the ULC. They help with worship, plan events, and lead service projects. They work collaboratively with the community of ULC and each other.

Grace O’Brien

Why are you involved at ULC?: “I am involved in the ULC because of the welcoming atmosphere and community here. I’m also involved so I can grow in my faith as an individual and as a leader with other amazing people.”

Rose Baerenwald

Hometown: Jasper, MN

Year at SDSU: Junior

Major: Leadership and Management of Nonprofit Orgs

Minor: Music

Activities at SDSU: The “Pride of the Dakotas” Marching Band & Choralia Women’s Choir

Why are you involved at ULC?: “I want to continue to grow in my faith here on campus but also be able to impact other followers in Christ. Most of all, I want to be able to do what God told us to do: ‘love thy neighbor.’”

Ashlin DeBoer

Hometown: Corsica, SD

Major: Ecology & Environmental Science

Why are you involved at ULC?: “To belong to a great group of like-minded and inspiring individuals and to help all those who come here to feel God’s love though music, faith, community, and friendship.”

Lily Krogstad

Major: History

Marcus Winter

Hometown: Winona, MN

Year at SDSU: Sophomore

Major: Math Education

Activities at SDSU: Council of Teachers of Mathematics & a practice player for the women's basketball team

Zach Buchholz

Hometown: Hendricks, MN

Major: Mathematics and Data Science
